200 million dollar paypal hacker

"It was an accident." said Romeo Garcia (28 y/o) from Cebu, Philippines when he was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) yesterday (March 22, 2014). The suspect was arrested because he was reported by Paypal Company for stealing a large amount of money from their systems worth ($284, 867, 115) two hundred million US dollars.

The suspect said it was an accident when he downloaded a software that can bypass Paypal users password and withdraw the said amount of money from hackers account, and he installed it to his computer after an hour of pasting some scraped emails from the web and he thought it was not working because the software got stocked and stopped from initializing.

Mean while, the staff from Paypal reported that huge of accounts were detected withdrawing their money at the same time with exact time. This makes them thought that something wrong with their databases and check the IP's (internet protocol) and found out that the location was came from Philippine server. They immediately contacted high officials in the said country and told that there were malicious users attacking their websites.

The alleged money was found on the hackers PayPal account and he still didn't withdraw it, but the case was still to be continued even the money was now safe, this is to make sure that the thief must be punished under the law. "People who have an account on Paypal must change their password just to ensure that they will be a victim by this PayPal password cracker." said by the PayPal staff.
